They’re noisy, they damage our public spaces, and they’re often by used by unlicensed riders without tax or insurance. Off-road motorbikes are a real nuisance. I have heard from local residents about the difficulty they’ve faced in getting the problem addressed.

I’ve been engaging residents, community leaders and local Councillors to understand the challenges we face. I’ve also been looking at best practice in other parts of the country to see how the police, local authorities and the police have addressed this issue before.

Bolton Labour has now set out a clear plan to tackle off-road motorbikes:

If you support this plan, I need your help. Please add your name to this petition to help me show the police and local decision makers that this issue is a priority for Bolton residents.

If you have experiences of these bikes that you’d like to share I’d love to hear from you as every incident helps build a picture of the problem. If you think there’s more we can do locally to address this, let me know your ideas because we’ll only solve this by working together. Please get in touch using the form at the bottom of this page.
