Safe Schools for Bolton Students

Just as the start of the new academic year begins, local schools have closed due to dangerous concrete.

Parents and the public have the right to know where schools and other public buildings affected by this dangerous concrete are. In Bolton North East, Canon Slade has restricted access and St William of York Primary has closed completely.

Rishi Sunak’s government was aware of this for over a year and has done nothing. In May, both Bolton Conservative MPs voted to block publishing information about crumbling schools. Their actions are letting down parents and pupils from across our town.

Kirith Entwistle and Labour are telling the Tories to let the public know how many buildings are crumbling and to put the safety of our pupils and teachers first.
